Jeff Cook is a 41-year-old firefighter from Coral Gables, Florida, who has a deep passion for sports. His love for sports began at an early age, where he played baseball, football, and basketball alongside his two brothers. Growing up in a competitive environment, Jeff was always striving to be the best, and his siblings' competitive nature helped him develop the drive and determination that he possesses today.
Jeff's father, Rick Cook, is a retired fire chief of Coral Gables, and his three sons, including Jeff, followed in his footsteps to become firefighters. He has been serving as a firefighter for the past 16 years in Coral Gables and Miami-Dade. Jeff is a valued member of the community and has a strong commitment to helping others in need.
Jeff's personal life is just as fulfilling as his professional life. He is happily married to Amy Cook, and together they have two children, Haylee and Tyler. Jeff loves spending time with his family, and one of his favorite hobbies is coaching his kids in sports and spending time fishing with them. Jeff's love for animals led him to collect reptiles, including snakes, turtles, and tortoises.
Two years ago, Jeff found a new passion in pickleball. He started playing with friends and has since become an avid player, playing multiple times a week. Jeff is a formidable opponent on the court, especially at the net, where his friends affectionately refer to him as "The Wall of Jeff" because of his excellent defensive skills.
Jeff plays with the Phantom Sniper 13 mm paddle, which he loves for its power and grit. He is also a member of Team Phantom. Jeff explained, “ I admire the team for its competitive spirit, love for the game, and commitment to helping others. We are actively involved in working with the Special Olympics and spreading the love of the game to others.”
